The Clifton Group hosts an occasional series of informal workshops on important current issues affecting Melbourne.
This month our guest was Helen Silver - Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Helen spoke about the issues facing her Department and the public service generally.

Anthony Squires
Irish born Australian rules football champion and untiring charity worker, Jim Stynes is the initial recipient of the Anthony Squires Australian Character award.
The award is based on commitment to the community and contributing to the character of the nation and Stynes was selected because of his involvement with his Reach Foundation, which assists youth at risk.
Anthony Squires suits - with their international reputation for quality and elegance - are manufactured by the Stafford Group, Australia's leading men's clothing manufacturer and long standing Clifton client.
Channel Nine was keen to interview Jim Stynes about his award but even more keen to chat to the 84 year old managing director of the Stafford Group, Maurice Lubansky, who has been running the company for 62 years.
It made riveting viewing on the news that night.
