Tollway project is paying its way

Clifton provided communications services to a consortium bidding to government for the right to build and operate a controversial $2 billion infrastructure project in Victoria. The services included government and community relations advice, media advice and liaison, product development advice and general communications support for the bid team. The process included preparing media releases, speeches, presentations and organising community events.  Clifton's principal goal was to help the bidder position itself favourably with government and key stakeholders such as local councils and unions, gather intelligence from within government circles and establish a fruitful dialogue with the media. The bid was successful.

Prison locked up

A client who is a world leader in correctional management services was invited to prepare a tender for a major correctional facility in an Australian regional city.

The client asked Clifton to undertake extensive attitudinal research on the expectations among community leaders including members of parliament, council, chamber of commerce, service groups, business leaders, etc.

That research was invaluable in determining the requirements of community and dispelling assumptions. Many of the issues that were unveiled in the research had not been expected by the government and certain elements would have generated severe and ongoing community angst if not acknowledged and addressed.
