Melbourne

Jacqueline Dinan – has extensive commercial experience in public and media relations, event management, corporate communication and human resources. The work of her firm, Eventive, has included media launches for major art exhibitions, gala fund-raising dinners involving major sponsors, property launches, conferences and seminars for major corporations, and launches of state government initiatives. Her experience has included organising Asia Pacific conferences and training seminars for Cadbury Schweppes and launches for media and government clients for a communications consultancy.

Sue Driscoll — a respected and experienced health care communicator Sue has worked in major metropolitan Melbourne hospitals and Victorian health agencies for more than 20 years researching and producing publications ranging from annual reports, quality of care reports, newsletters, brochures and other publications for staff and community. Sue has researched, designed and implemented many community participation and engagement strategies as part of larger issue management approaches or as a component of social marketing and community relations programs. She recently managed the Dental Health Services publications unit, which produces materials for patients around Victoria, especially those from multilingual households. Sue provides communications training to Victorian health care personnel as part of the Victorian Hospitals' Industrial Association's training program. She has a regular communications advise column in a national health care industry journal and has been a regular commentator on public relations and communications on ABC Radio. Christine Nunn – director of Project Partnerships, a firm specialising in the development and implementation of family and community development and assistance projects. She has a wealth of experience in community and youth services, housing, regional planning and consumer affairs at state and local level. Her strength lies in understanding and developing innovative responses for people with multiple service needs, youth, disabled and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Lyndall Thomas Lyndall specialises in accessible communications. She helps clients meet the diverse literacy needs of their community, with a particular focus on the disabilty sector and culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Lyndall has worked with a number of organisations on the development of accessible materials, including the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), Southern Health and Vision 2020 Australia. She has extensive online, editorial and project management experience in a range of communication settings. Specialist in web design and multicultural and disabled access.

Sydney

Capitol Research — principal of Capitol Research, Armon Hicks, has worked in public relations, industrial relations and politics in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and USA. He spent over six years with two international consultancies, Turnbull Porter Novelli (where he headed the Sydney office) and Gavin Anderson & Co.

Reputation — a director of Reputation, Terri-Helen Gaynor, has over 20 years experience in Australia and Asia advising private and public sector clients in corporate and financial communications, issues management and community relations. Terri-Helen has also worked in Hong Kong as a consultant to health and community service agencies on issues management and community consultation projects across Asia.

Brisbane

David Beddall — a Brisbane-based government relations and issues management expert, with extensive political and business networks throughout Australia. A federal member of parliament from 1983 to 1996, David held a number of ministries in the Hawke and Keating Governments, including Resources, Communications, and Small Business, Construction and Customs. Before entering Parliament, David worked in banking and finance.
